Personality}
Being the only daughter of a devout priest, Alice was brought up to be a polite and proper young lady. And she is. So much so, in fact, that even a number of her enemies have complimented her manners. Alice is almost never harsh or rude, not even to people who are rude themselves. And, always interested in keeping the peace whenever she can, she's even quick to apologize for her (often very rude) companions as well. She respects her elders and is gentle and motherly with children. While her persistent kindness can seem a little naive, when combined with her natural charm it ends up winning her many friends. It doesn't hurt that she is extremely patient and a very good listener too.
When Alice first appears in the game, she comes off as a helpless victim, needing protection. But there is a core of strength in her that belies her delicate appearance. She fights against horrific monsters and faces many terrifying enemies without backing down. Even when Dehuai had her in shackles, she still refused to give him the satisfaction of seeing her beg. And she has no problem taking on dangerous missions(like the Dollhouse) to help total strangers. Her faith in God is also very strong and remains unshaken by the horrors she has seen. She still takes the time to properly pray whenever there is a church nearby and will even offer prayers for the souls of fallen enemies. Despite these beliefs, she is willing to give up her very soul for the man she loves, and unwaveringly offers herself to the masks in exchange for his safety.
A good portion of the strength she has comes from her deep compassion and empathy for others. Alice genuinely cares about other people..... and things. She was sympathetic to Lili's dark fate even after nearly dying from her curse. She even felt bad for the doll that was possessing the Dollhouse, worried that it might have been lonely. She's pretty quick to forgive too. Even after all the Japanese army had put them through, she was still willing to trust Lt. Kawashima and Kato. In some ways, she's a little too trusting, preferring to give people the benefit of the doubt. But this optimistic attitude has worked out well for her more often then not, since most of her bosom companions were very suspicious people when she met them. (Rude stranger, quack oracle, mysterious vampire, foreign spy, and juvenile delinquent.....) Considering that, Alice may be far wiser than she appears.
While she is generally mature, Alice does have a childish side too. She tends to get distracted by cute things like small children and puppies. She even insisted on looking after the small stray puppy they found in Shanghai, despite being on the run from crazed mystics and the Japanese army. Too bad Tiny turned out to be a horrible possessed demon dog. While she rarely joins when her friends are teasing one another, she'll often giggle at their comments. She's a bit naive though, so cruder jokes often go over her head. When she's frustrated or angry, Alice also displays the rather childish habit of stomping her foot. Although when combined with a pouty glare, that often has the effect of being cute rather than intimidating.
Abilities}
Alice has the ability to sense evil or malice from people, objects, and locations.
She also has the strange ability to hear telepathic transmissions being sent to people nearby.
Other than that, she's a pretty standard rpg white mage, with an unusually large mp pool and the following spells:
Cure: Standard healing spell
Holy Edge: Changes the element of a character's attacks to 'Light.' Only useful when fighting enemies who are weak to light.
Blessed Light: An attack spell. Rays of light shoot down her enemies. Medium strength.
Wish: This spell cures status ailments such as poison, petrification, confusion etc.
Gospel: Standard buff spell. Raises a character's defense.
Arc: Same as cure, but usable on several people at once.
Resurrection: Self explanatory. This is her revive fallen party members spell.
Advent: Extremely powerful attack spell, but costs a ludicrous amount of mp and has a much longer casting time. But it does target multiple enemies with lasers from heaven.
Baggage} Her clothes, The Grand Bible(Her weapon, essentially a huge bible that she uses to hit monsters over the head), Anne's Cross(Once belonging to Yuri's mother, this cross has the power to restore sanity.)
**The game keeps track of sanity as a stat, which amounts to how many rounds a character can last in a fight before snapping under the pressure and going berserk. In this game, the cross likely has no function except to look pretty and remind her of Yuri.**

Alice stood in front of the church, looking up at building as though it contained the answers to all of her questions. She was speaking to herself, softly and quietly.
"If I had one wish, there would be so much I could do with it. So many people I could help. Could save..."
She could save him. And yet she hesitates. Because to get her wish would mean sacrificing the wishes of many others. The other competitors for the Holy Grail. Was she really the most worthy? Out of all these people? But she couldn't afford to think like that. Or else..... she'd never see him again.
"Yuri..."
She closes her eyes for a moment, and offers a silent prayer. Please let him be alright. Please let them all be alright. After a minute or two her eyes open, and she looks back up. Yuri would tease her if he saw her fretting like this. Wavering with indecision. No. No more moping. No more worries. She'll just have to do her best and have faith, like always. She'd been through worse. She'd get through worse again. She turns back down the street toward the apartments, but this time she has a smile on her face. Things would work out. She'd find a way to make them work out.
"Wait for me, everyone..."
It wasn't as if they could hear her, but she knew that even without asking, her friends were waiting for her. Yuri was waiting for her. And Alice wasn't going to disappoint them.
